Welcome to my Digital Marketing Portfolio…
Here’s a bit about me – who I am, what I do, and where I’m headed
Hi! My name is Selma Smailagić, a second-year Business Studies student at the School of Economics and Business. With a strong interest in how technology connects people and builds brands, I’m developing a foundation in digital marketing, content creation, and data analysis.
My ultimate career goal is to become a Public Relations manager for a top league sports team, where I can blend creativity with strategy to create fun and reaching campaigns. I thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy projects that challenge me and make a real-world appearance.
Outside academics, I have a passion for photography, which I believe is an essential part of public relations and content marketing. I also love volunteering at any place I can get into, Ive done days at MUN conferences, to Islamic relief campaigns, to working around horse stables and horses. I’m ethnically Bosnian but grew up in the Middle East, where I engaged with people of many nationalities, sparking my interest in culture and communication.
Sports have always been part of my life — from swimming and martial arts, to basketball, fencing, and now horse riding. While I haven’t stayed with one sport long enough to master it, this has taught me adaptability and how much I thrive on change. The blend of sports and media is what I now aim to pursue professionally.
