WordPress analytics have allowed me to have real-time access and understanding about my website’s performance. Through this information I am able to use the delivered data to improve the websites performance. Using tools like Google analytics, Search Console and LinkedIn insights aid in better understanding engagement, traffic growth and strategy. With these tools I am able to make informed decisions which will directly impact the before mentioned.

When it comes to Google Analytics, it offers a general overview of the user’s behaviour. This can include the number of visitors, the duration of their stay on the website and most viewed pages. Other than the general overview, the acquisition overview tab helps break down the traffic sources, entailing the way of visit, social media and others. 100% of the total number of users are direct users. Meaning they access the website through clicking or entering the URL directly into the browser. Through the home pages, I am able to understand the duration and variations of pages visited, along with user data which will help me better understand the users.

When it comes to Google Search Console, it more so focuses on the website performance in google search results. The performance tab shows the clicks, impressions and the average position. Considering my website is not used outside of this project, and was only shared via URL. However, in the future, google search console will allow me to see the blogs which rank the best, according to the relevant keyboards. It can allow for impression overview and further opportunities for improved meta description titles. Therefore, it can highlight the issues affecting the site indexing or the pages speed.

Using analytics tools for website improvement can lead into insights on the digital marketing efforts. Through this I can rely on data to create decisions. From improving SEO to optimizing user journeys and tailoring content to audience interests, analytics have become an indispensable part of managing and growing my WordPress marketing website.
